Animal feed giant Nutreco and chemicals company DSM are in talks on preparing a joint bid to take over and break up Rotterdam-based feed maker Provimi, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Wednesday.

The two companies hope that by working together they will be able to come up with an acceptable takeover price – which could be up to €2bn, the paper says.
US company Cargill and a number of private equity groups are also interested in Provimi, the paper says.
