Mario Been quits Feyenoord as players lose confidence in him

Mario Been has resigned as trainer of Rotterdam football club Feyenoord after 13 of the 18 first team players said they no longer had confidence in him.

Been was ‘broken’ by the news and packed his things immediately, technical director Martin van Geel told a news conference on Wednesday.
Been joined Feyenoord in 2009 in an effort to propel the club back to the top.
But the club has been beset by financial problems, has no money to buy new players and ended the last season disappointingly.
