The Serbian authorities say they have arrested Goran Hadzic, the last remaining fugitive sought by the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague, the BBC reports.

Hadzic faces 14 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity following his involvement in atrocities committed by Serb troops in Croatia. He was in charge of Croatian Serb separatist forces.
The arrest comes less than two months after Serbia caught former Bosnian Serb military commander Ratko Mladic. He is now on trial in the Netherlands.
Foreign affairs minister Uri Rosenthal welcomed news of the arrest, saying ‘it is good that Serbia has carried out its responsibilities’.
However, Serbia must still meet other conditions in terms of human rights, fraud and corruption before being fully admitted to the EU, he said.
The Netherlands last year stalled Serbia’s entry to the EU, saying it had not done enough to arrest war crimes suspects.
