‘Tax office temporary staff get generous pay’
The tax office is employing 110 IT experts at average rates of €110 per hour, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday.
This is equivalent to an average salary of €200,000 a year, the paper says.
The technicians are working on new software to pay healthcare, housing and child benefits.
In addition, the department has a further 80 temporary technicians earning €85 an hour. They are adapting the existing IT system to cope with the new software, the paper says.
