Philips joins Russian company in nuclear medicine
Electronics giant Philips on Monday signed a memo of understanding with the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) to develop a nuclear medicine industry ecosystem in Russia.
Philips and Rosatom will manufacture three SPECT and PET scanners used to diagnose and track cancer. In addition, Philips will cooperate in clinical trials and in-depth training of Russian engineers.
No indication was given of when the memo of understanding will be turned into a definite agreement.
