No bombing role for the Netherlands in Libya
The Netherlands will remain active in Libya until the end of September but will not take an active bombing role, defence minister Hans Hillen said on Friday.
There are no arguments why the Dutch role should change, Hillen said. The Netherlands has six F-16s and one minesweeper monitoring the arms embargo and no-fly zone.
The Telegraaf said earlier this week Nato had asked the Netherlands to take a more active military role.
