Some 1,300 families who live close to high tension electricity pylons are to be offered money to leave their homes because of fears about potential damage to their health, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday.

The paper says economic minister Maxime Verhagen has agreed to buy out the families, financed from an extra levy on energy bills.
The paper bases its claims on a leaked memo on the issue which Verhagen sent to parliament.
The total cost of the package is put at €500m but will amount to little over one euro per household a year because it will be spread out over 25 years, the paper quotes civil servants as saying.
How much families get will depend on the value of their homes.
