Europe is essential to the Netherlands, reaffirms prime minister
Europe is essential to the future of the Netherlands and its economy , prime minister Mark Rutte said on Thursday, at the end of the first day of a European Union summit in Brussels.
‘We have an important agenda to roll out in the Netherlands and we need Europe to do it,’ Rutte is quoted as saying.
Rutte also said that providing extra financial support to Greece is unavoidable.
During the meeting EU leaders reaffirmed their commitment to help Greece out of its current debt problems and maintain EU financial stability.
