E.coli outbreak will cost the Netherlands €350m
The total damage to Dutch farmers and export companies due to the recent E.coli outbreak in Germany could reach €350m, the market garden product board said on Friday.
The decline in exports has led to 35.6 million kilos of vegetables and salad stuff being destroyed. In addition, 366 hectares of crops were not harvested.
