Dutch diplomats held and released in Syria
Two Dutch diplomats were kidnapped in the north of Lebanon last month and held for a short time in Syria, a foreign ministry spokesman confirmed on Thursday.
The two, the defence attaché and his assistant, were released after diplomatic contact with Lebanon and Syria. They were on a fact-finding mission when they were taken by a local tribe, the Telegraaf said.
