Belgium hands bank details to Dutch tax authorities

Belgium has handed over the bank details of 50,000 Dutch nationals to the Dutch tax authorities, according to newspaper De Tijd, quoted by financial news agencies.

In total, Belgium has spilled the beans on 250,000 foreign bank account holders, most of whom are in France, the paper says.
A tax office spokesman told the Telegraaf it is not clear how much the Dutch treasury will benefit from the move because it is unclear how many secret bank accounts are included in the total.
