96-year-old woman admits 1946 murder

A 96-year-old woman has admitted murdering a man suspected of collaborating with the German occupiers during World War II.

The woman has written to the mayor of Leiden admitting to the murder of Leiden engineer Felix Guljé in March 1946. Guljé was suspected of economic collaboration but found not guilty in court.
He was shot after opening the door of his home to a woman. The resistance was thought to be behind the killing.
The murder took place too long ago to be prosecuted but the woman’s letter has been passed to the public prosecution department, the Telegraaf said.
