17-year-old jailed for Twitter claim
A 17-year-old youth from Rotterdam has been jailed for 12 days after using the microblogging service Twitter to send a message threatening to carry out a copycat shopping centre shooting.
The youth sent out the message shortly after a young man killed six people and then shot himself in a shopping centre in Alphen aan den Rijn on April 9.
The Telegraaf does not give further details of the case, but does say several people used Twitter to make threats after the bloodbath.
