Unilever can do more, says CEO

Unilever has not grown enough over the past 10 to 15 years and has therefore created insufficient shareholder value, CEO Paul Polman says in an interview with the Financieele Dagblad.

In order to keep up with competitors such as Procter & Gamble and Nestlé, the company needs to show consistent growth for five years and that will require a culture shift within the company, he says.
In the long run, Unilever’s turnover can double, the paper quotes him as saying.
Polman will address shareholders in Rotterdam on Thursday afternoon.
