Postal company TNT saw net profit drop by 14% in the first quarter of 2011 to €123m against €144m in the year earlier period, the company announced on Monday.

Turnover rose by 4.3% but operating profit was down by a third as the group’s market share declined.
Shares dropped 5% in value on the Amsterdam stock exchange at the news.
