Ministry cuts speeding ticket limit on 130 kph roads

The government is to lower the speed trap margin of error to stop people driving up to nine kilometres per hour above the official speed limit on very fast roads, the AD reports on Wednesday.

The speed limit has been increased to 130 kph on several roads. This means drivers can travel at 139 kph and still avoid prosecution.
But the transport ministry has agreed to reduce the margin of error for those roads, making speeding motorists liable for prosecution from 135 kph.
