‘Hot spring will lead to a wet summer’

The hot, early spring will lead to a more stormy and wet July and August, according to meteorologists quoted by website nu.nl

‘We will pay the price,’ Rolf Schuttenhelm of weather bureau weeronline.nl told the website.
Forecasting projections show that when North Sea temperatures rise early in the summer, there is more rain later on in the season.
Nevertheless, rain in the summer is unlikely to compensate for the months of drought, Schuttenhelm said.
