Sections of the walkway on five storeys of a block of flats on the Antillenweg in Leeuwarden collapsed on Monday afternoon. No one was hurt.

Police think the top walkway collapsed first, taking the other four sections with it, say press reports. The cause of the collapse is not yet known.
The block of flats was evacuated and the residents given temporary accommodation in a school.
