Dutchman admits killing Joanne Yeates, denies murder
Dutch civil engineer Vincent Tabak has admitted killing a 25-year-old landscape architect shortly before Christmas, British media report on Thursday.
Tabak, 33, admitted to killing Joanne Yeates but denies murdering her, the Daily Mail reports, quoting from court proceedings. The two lived in the same building.
Tabak appeared in court via videolink from Long Lartin prison in Worcestershire. He was remanded in custody and the trial is set for October 4.
The murder of Yeates, whose body was found in a lane near Bristol on Christmas Day, has received massive coverage in the British media.
