Unions to resume pension talks

The FNV trade union is to resume negotiations with employers and the government on the future of pensions, chairman Agnes Jongerius said on Monday evening, following talks with the 19 unions affiliated with the FNV.

The union wants further talks on linking pensions to wages and on the division of pension premiums between employers and employees.
Social affairs minister Henk Kamp told news agency ANP he is pleased the unions want further negotiations with employers’ organisations. They first reached agreement in June 2010 to adjust the pension age to increasing life expectancy.
