Support for coalition slides again
The minority coalition made up of the CDA and VVD, together with its alliance partner PVV, would win 71 out of 150 seats in parliament if there was a general election tomorrow, according to a new opinion poll by Maurice de Hond.
The poll puts the right-wing VVD liberals on 36 seats, up five on their current total, while the anti-Islam PVV is down again at 21 – three down on their score at the general election and one down on last week.
Support for the Christian Democrats is also down by one seat at 14, seven down on their general election performance, the poll shows.
The government’s performance is rated 5.4 out of 10, while prime minister Mark Rutte gets 6.1.
