Six out of 10 think the queen should step down soon
Six out of 10 people think queen Beatrix should step down from the throne within two years and half think 2013 would be a good moment, when she turns 75.
The poll was carried out by TNS Nipo ahead of the Queen’s Day celebrations on Saturday.
Almost nine out of 10 said they favoured a monarchy over a republic and two-thirds think the queen has the right amount of power.
