School girls disappear on trip to Paris
Two Maastricht girls have disappeared during a school trip to Paris and there are growing fears for their safety, according to media reports on Monday afternoon.
The girls, aged 16 and 17, decided to go shopping on the Champs-Elysees during a free couple of hours but failed to turn up at the appointed meeting place later.
According to the NRC, the girls left the metro a stop too early and rang one of their teachers who advised them what to do. That phone call was the last heard from them since Friday afternoon.
French police have put out an alert for the girls.
