Public transport strike in Rotterdam
There will be no buses, trams or metro in Rotterdam outside peak periods on Tuesday because of strike action in protest at government plans to force the big cities to put their public transport services out to tender.
The management of the council-owned public transport group RET does not support the strike.
Last week public transport workers went on strike in Amsterdam. Next week The Hague will follow.
