A majority of MPs want social affairs minister Henk Kamp to order detailed research into pension holidays and premium paybacks carried out by corporate pension funds over the past 10 years.

They also want the minister to come up with definitive figures on pension fund earnings and investments in an effort to clean up misunderstandings and improve clarity about different estimates.
Many of the Netherlands’ corporate funds have been forced to take steps and freeze payouts because of losses on their investments booked during the economic crisis.
