MPs to debate purchase of second test JSF fighter jet
MPs will debate defence ministry plans to buy a second test JSF fighter jet later on Wednesday.
The cabinet has until April 30 to reach a decision on whether or not to buy a second jet. The measure is likely to have a slim majority in parliament thanks to the support of the anti-Islam PVV.
Opposition MPs say the government is irresponsible to spend millions of euros on test fighter jets while the defence ministry is being forced to find savings of €1bn and is poised to slash spending on the armed forces.
