Dutchman killed, two injured in Marrakesh bomb blast

A Dutchman is among the 16 people killed in a bomb blast in a café in Marrakesh, the foreign ministry has confirmed. Another Dutch man and a woman are among the injured.

Six French and five Moroccan nationals are also among the dead. The bomb went off in a café on the city’s central Djemaa el Fna square at lunchtime on Thursday.
The foreign ministry said on Friday the Dutch couple are seriously injured.
A group of Dutch secondary school pupils who were in the square at the time told Nos television people were running in all directions.
‘I saw people leaving the restaurant, one without any toes and covered in blood,’ said 16-year-old Mohammed Azarkan from The Hague.
