The father of the 12-year-old girl who gave birth to a baby while on a school trip last month is the baby’s biological father as well, according to dna evidence.

The man has been arrested, the public prosecution department said.
The girl, a final year primary school pupil from the Groningen village of Beijum, gave birth on March 22 during a school outing. She was not aware she was pregnant.
The girl has refused to say who the father is. However, dna samples show there is a ‘very great’ chance her own father has fathered her child, the Volkskrant reports.
