11-year-old boy picked up for school bomb threat

An 11-year-old boy from Heemskerk has been questioned by police on suspicion of sending two threatening emails to a primary school.

The Burghtweijt school was closed on Friday because of the emails, the Telegraaf said. The police then tracked down the sender, who turned out to be the 11-year-old. It is not clear from the media reports if he was a pupil at the school.
Last month a 13-year-old boy was arrested for using the microblogging service Twitter to say he planned to blow up his school. A 17-year-old girl was suspended for a similar Twitter message in February.
