Unilever is selling its personal hygiene unit Sanex to rival Colgate-Palmolive for €672m, the company said on Wednesday.
In return, Colgate-Palmolive is selling Unilever its Colombian washing powder operations for $215m.
The sale of Sanex was ordered by the European Commission as a condition of Unilever’s purchase of Sara Lee’s home and personal care arm. Sanex accounted for 22% of the division’s sales.
