Troublemakers should lose their benefits, say Labour MPs
Benefits claimants who cause trouble when collecting their payments should lose their benefits, Labour party MPs will tell home affairs minister Piet Hein Donner on Tuesday.
The Labour party is fed up with claimants who use threatening behaviour at council benefits desks or at the UWV benefits offices, reports the Telegraaf.
It wants the immediate removal from the premises of troublemakers and those caught misbehaving for a third time to have their benefits removed. This would also apply to people applying for passports or driving licences.
‘We have to change this aggressive and violent mentality,’ Labour MP Ahmed Marcouch told the paper.
