A high school English teacher who once took part in a porn film can be sacked, a court decided on Thursday, Nos television reports.

The man was recognised by a female pupil who saw the film and apparently spread the word.
The teacher said the film was a one-off and had no impact upon his qualities as a teacher. But the court said his authority had been impaired and approved the sacking. The school was ordered to pay his salary for the rest of the school year.
