Some 300 workers from the former Organon pharmaceuticals plant in Oss demonstrated outside Amsterdam district court on Friday in support of their demand that parent company Merck do more to find a buyer.

Merck plans to close the R&D department in Oss and shut down one production line, but the workers council and supervisory board are contesting the decision in court.
The court is expected to announce on Friday when it will rule on the case.
