Man fined €114,000 for insider trading
The financial regulator AFM has fined an entrepreneur €114,000 for insider trading in shares in supermarket group Super de Boer.
The man had heard at a closed meeting that another supermarket chain, as well as known bidder Jumbo, had emerged as a potential buyer for Super de Boer.
The man bought €100,000 worth of shares, later selling them for €14,000 profit.
The maximum fine the AFM could have levied was €2m.
