ING bonus hand-back was smokescreen: AD

ING bank CEO Jan Hommen may have given back his 2010 bonus, but this was a smokescreen, says the AD on Thursday afternoon. Five of his senior colleagues received bonuses of €7.3m: an average of €1.46m per person, the paper says, quoting the company’s annual report.

The five top managers are ranked just below Hommen and his executive board members and are subject to the same rules as the others. The company told the paper it does not know why they still received their bonus.
