Two Rotterdam entrepreneurs want to raise a giant ferris wheel on the south bank of the Nieuwe Maas river. The wheel, similar to the London Eye, will measure 140 by 150 metres.
John Struijlaard and Ronald Vergoed say the wheel would become the new ‘image’ of the city, reports Trouw.
Rotterdam council has agreed to cooperate but the financing will have to come from the private section. The two men are already talking to a number of potential investors.
