Free Record Shop is back in the black
Free Record Shop Holding, the record, cd and computer software chain, booked profit of €2.2m in 2010, compared with a loss of €1.2m in 2009.
The loss was due to the cost of turning many of its Free Record Shop and Van Leest stores into Game Mania stores to counteract falling sales of cds.
Free Record Shop now has a chain of 335 stores and 41 franchises, 18 more than a year earlier.
