Expel corrupt MEPs, say Labour
Labour MEPs have called for the immediate resignation of two social democrat MPs caught out in a corruption scandal by a British newspaper.
One MEP, a Christian Democrat, has already quit. Two others – Adrian Severin of Romania and Zoran Thaler of Slovenia – who also showed they were willing to be bought by a lobby group, remain in their seats.
‘These people should not be in parliament and should be thrown out of the social democrat grouping immediately,’ Dutch Labour MEP Thijs Berman said.
