Ajax keeper out with broken thumb
Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg will be out of action for two months after undergoing surgery on this thumb.
Stekelenburg broke his thumb during training last weekend and will now miss Thursday night’s crucial Europa League tie against Spartak Moscow.
PSV Eindhoven and FC Twente are also in Europa League round of 16 action tonight.
Twente takes a 3-0 advantage to Zenit Sint Petersburg while PSV takes on Glasgow Rangers after a 0-0 home draw.
Ajax has the most difficult away task. It lost 0-1 at home to the Russian side.
