A 12-year-old girl from Groningen gave birth to a baby during a school trip last week, without realising she was pregnant, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday.

The girl, who is still at primary school, complained of stomach cramps. Then the teachers realised what was happening and called an ambulance.
The girl and baby are both healthy and well, a spokesman for the local heath service said. One report said the girl was a pupil at a Christian primary school in Beijum.
