PVV faces challenge to public transport privatisation stand

The Labour and Socialist parties are preparing draft legislation which will halt government plans to force Rotterdam, Amsterdam and The Hague to put public transport services out to competitive tender, the NRC reports on Wednesday.

The plan will put pressure on the anti-Islam PVV to come clean about its position. The party was strongly against privatisation during the election campaign but now sides with the minority government.
The parties say they want to give the PVV a chance to fulfill ‘old promises’.
