The Netherlands’ jobless total has gone under 400,000 for the first time since August 2009, the national statistics office CBS said on Thursday.
The country now has some 398,000 people who are officially jobless. The total has been falling by 5,000 a month since March last year.
The decline is mainly due to more under-45s finding work, the CBS said.
The CBS did not give the jobless rate as a percentage.
