Home owners bills rise marginally
House owners will have to spend an average €39 more this year on running their homes, according to the local authority economic institute Coelo.
The increase is largely due to higher energy prices and a slight increase in water rates. Transaction costs when houses are sold and the eigenwoningforfait tax on home ownership both went down slightly, Coelo said.
On average, home owners pay €3,919 a year on housing, aside from mortgage repayments. That is some 12% of average disposable income Coelo said.
