Wind park at Urk to get go ahead
The coalition partners Liberal VVD and Christian Democrats are keen to push ahead with the planned wind park at the village of Urk.
The definitive plan for 38 windmills on land and 48 in the Ijsselmeer laker was agreed on Thursday.
There is a great deal of resistance to the plan. Former economic affairs minister Maria van der Hoeven scrapped seven windmills from the total in the summer of 2010 when the effect on the protected view of Urk was raised by parliament.
The wind park is not likely to be built until 2012 at the earliest. The plan still has to be approved by parliament.
