Jumbo supermarket group meets turnover target

Supermarket group Jumbo achieved its target of doubling sales following the takeover of the Super de Boer group in 2010, the family-owned firm said on Monday.

Jumbo booked sales of over €3.5bn, up from €1.6bn in 2009.
In total, Super de Boer bought 300 Super de Boer outlets, converted 44 into Jumbos and sold on 125.
Excluding acquisitions, sales rose 2%.
