Deutsche Post stops with junk mail

International mail company Deutsche Post DHL and its subsidiary Interlanden announced on Tuesday it is to stop delivering unaddressed junk mail in the Netherlands.

The decision is the result of a ‘strategic reevaluation of activities’, the company said, and will have no effect on its other Dutch divisions.
A social plan has been drawn up for the 246 employees, including help in finding other work.
Deutsche Post decided last week to sell its postal company SelektMail to Sandd, providing the monopolies commission agrees.
