Central serious crime registry almost up to speed

Justice minister Ivo Opstelten said on Monday that police forces are now almost up to speed with introducing a new system for analysing serious crime, news agency ANP said.

Details about offences such as murder, rape and child kidnapping cases are supposed to be stored centrally to allow for better analysis and comparison.
The backlog of registrations has now been reduced from 430 to around 100 by putting more manpower on the job, Opstelten said.
