Youngsters urged to photograph vandals

Youngsters in Apeldoorn are being encouraged to take photos of vandals using their mobile phones, which will then be placed on a special website, the Telegraaf reports.

The paper says the project, entitled Hufter Hunt, (hunt the lout) is funded by the city council and backed by the justice ministry. Officials will visit schools and popular youth hang outs over the next few days to explain the plan.
‘Apeldoorn has had enough of louts who blow up letter boxes, wreck bus shelters and damage cars and bikes,’ the website states. ‘That is why we are going to track them down and tackle them. Together with you, we are starting the hunt for louts – our mission against crime.
