The face of Boney M dies
Bobby Farrell, the face of 1970s pop band Boney M and long-term resident of the Netherlands, has been found dead in his hotel room in St Petersburg at the age of 61.
Farrell, who was born on the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, had given a performance in the city on Wednesday. The cause of death is not yet known, his agent John Seine said.
Farrell lived in the Amsterdam neighbourhood Zuidoost and often appeared on Dutch tv and in live shows.
