Labour leader Cohen has no intention of quitting

Labour leader Job Cohen told Radio 1 he has no intention of standing down if his party does badly in the March provincial elections.

If that happens, Cohen said he will ‘continue as normal’ in order to ‘make the Netherlands a fairer place than it is now’.
Cohen has been much criticised for his performance so far. Labour’s support in the polls has slumped since narrowly losing to the VVD in the June general election.
Cohen said his main priority is to try to stop the three party ruling alliance from gaining a majority in the upper house of parliament. The results of the provincial vote determine the make up of the 75-seat senate.
The polls may give the VVD CDA PVV grouping a majority at the moment ‘but the polls will be different again tomorrow’, Cohen said.
